Chesnee is a beautiful little town, with a small population. It’s very peaceful and nice and quiet for the most part. Easily accessible shopping is within a short drive but otherwise Chesnee is beloved for the relaxing scenery in every season. It could be that it is a more quiet city because there are relatively few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy; there are no huge collages with dorm rooms, and not a great deal of children in this town. Chesnee has relatively few families with children under the age of eighteen living at home, and is simply quieter because of it. There are three main public schools, and the statistics are comparable to the national averages. Someone quipped: “If you think trees make good neighbors, Chesnee may be for you!”
Chesnee’s most used travel route is Highway 221 which offers several nice little diners, convenient items, and overall, a beautiful drive to anywhere you’d like to travel to. Rolling fields, breathtaking sunsets, and less traffic is always nice! You can head North/North East and venture into the neighboring mountains of North Carolina, or head South/ South West into the upstate areas big cities. Spartanburg is only about a half hour drive away. It’s a nice and relaxing drive with plenty of restful lands.
